Metzger, the first academic to be elected to the board of The Associated Press Media Editors, is an instructor at Ball State University. She helped design BSU's integrated student media lab, which includes the school's print, online, broadcast, magazine, "geek" publication, as well as a business, marketing and advertising office that is powered by students.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

This is a flowing style of yoga where postures are linked in continuous movement. The longer class format allows us time for some breath work and meditative savasanas , cultivating awareness of yoga as a mental and spiritual, as well as physical practice . We move slowly to build strength and find the essential energetic core of each posture, always varying  sequences to focus the mind. We review correct alignment for those who are new to yoga, while we also move into some more challenging postures, always showing modifications.

Zumba fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got Zumba.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Club

BJJ has proven itself as the most effective self-defense system in existence. At DePauw, students, faculty, and staff can participate in the club. The club does not require any prior experience, so everyone is welcome. Classes are taught by instructors from Indiana Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy (IBJJA) which is one of the top mixed martial arts academies in the Midwest. "The goal of the IBJJA  is to promote athleticism, health, self-control, and discipline while providing the most advanced training for self-defense and sports competition."
