Jazz at Music on the Square

M2 becomes a swinging jazz club for a night as STEVE SNYDER & HIS LITTLE BIG BAND, an undectet of jazz musicians from across central Indiana, come together on Wednesday night. Ballads, blues, standards, Latin numbers and original compositions will be featured by this awe-inspiring group of winds, rhythm and brass:

Patrick Harbison, trumpet; Jeffery Parker, trumpet; Richard Dole, trombone; Tom Walsh, alto saxophone; Randy Salman, tenor sax; Evan Drybread, bari sax; Sandy Williams, guitar; Jessie Whitman, bass; Steven Snyder, organ; Ben Hogan, percussion and Brian Yarde, drums

Chen Chen is the author of When I Grow Up I Want to Be a List of Further Possibilities, winner of the GLCA New Writers Award and was long-listed for the National Book Award. His work has appeared in many publications, including Tin House and The Best American Poetry. The Atlantic featured him in an article entitled “How Poetry Came to Matter Again.”
