Gilman Scholarship Information Session

Information and application session about the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship, which supports the costs of a semester, year or summer study abroad experience. Applicants must receive a Pell Grant as part of their normal financial aid package. This session will cover the basic requirements, eligibility and application process. Grad School Advice from Recent Bio Alum: Nipun Chopra

Nipun Chopra,Biology alum and current post-doctoral researcher in the Stark Neuroscience Research Institute at IUPUI will be at DePauw to talk about his experiences in Grad School,  the transition, and how DePauw prepared him for the graduate school experience. 

Nipun's  dissertation work examined the role specific microRNA played in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. Currently, in my post-doc laboratory, we are looking at the role neuroinflammation plays in the onset of traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer's disease. 

This event is mainly geared for students interested in Biology or Neuroscience graduate school but is free and open to the public.  #Academic #gradschool #Biology #alumni
