Campus COVID-19 Status Change to Yellow; Drop-in Testing Availability October 25

Dear Students,

We hope that you had a restful and restorative Fall Break and are looking forward to the remainder of the term. We are writing today to provide you with an update on the campus COVID-19 status and opportunities for testing.

Over break we experienced a small connected cluster of COVID-19 cases. We are appreciative that these students reported their symptoms to University staff quickly and we were able to contain the spread. As indicated on the COVID-19 Dashboard, we are moving our campus status to Yellow as a result of these cases: “The Yellow Campus Status indicates that COVID-19 is managed on our campus. Yellow Status is indicated when cases of COVID-19 occur in well-defined clusters on our campus.”

We will continue our ongoing required testing of unvaccinated individuals but will also be offering drop-in testing from Oct. 25 to Nov. 5 for any other students who would like to be tested and who are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19. Asymptomatic drop-in testing will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in Lilly 2029. Individuals are limited to testing once per week.

Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should contact DePauw Health Wellness Center at 765-658-4555 to schedule an appointment with a provider.

With many upcoming events on campus, we hope that you will each continue to embody the Tigers Take Care motto taking steps to help prevent the spread of viruses and illness and looking out for the health and safety of our campus community.
