Updated FAQ, Student reminder to fill out live/learn form July 31

Dear DePauw Students, Faculty, Staff and Families,

With this email we wanted to provide you with a few updates and reminders:

As a reminder, all students should fill out this Google form by July 31 at 11:59pm (Eastern) indicating their preferences for where they will learn and live this fall.

  • Updates to our FAQ:

  • Details in the Events section in the Health Practice Recommendations and Requirements have been updated.

  • Move in and testing information:

    • Move In Dates:

      • August 24: Juniors and Seniors

      • August 25: Sophomores

      • August 26: First-Year Students

    • After housing assignments are made for those students in residence for Fall 2020, students will be sent information about specific move-in times on these dates. Move-in will occur by scheduled appointment times.

    • Every student who will be in residence, attend courses on-campus, or attend other approved on-campus activities must adhere to our return to campus health protocol which includes two negative COVID-19 tests in 7 days, and our on-going health protocol which includes weekly, random asymptomatic testing and a daily symptom screening.

    • A negative COVID test is required prior to moving into a residential space, attending courses on-campus, or attending other approved on-campus activities at DePauw University.

    • Students with a domestic address should complete the testing company registration by August 6 and watch for additional information on how to secure their at-home test, to be completed via a telehealth appointment August 18-21. Students must send their test specimen on the day of the telehealth appointment to ensure their test results can be received before moving into residential housing between August 24-26. No student will be allowed to move into a residential space at DePauw University without a negative COVID test result reported by our testing company. All testing will be completed through a company selected by DePauw and will be paid for by DePauw.

    • Students traveling from international locations can choose to (1) Arrive on campus August 26-28 and take a test on campus. A second test would be required seven days after arriving on campus. (2) Arrive in the US early, complete a test August 18-21 and move-in August 24-26.  Students choosing the second option must provide a US address no later than August 6 to the testing company to ensure the at home test can be received prior to their telehealth visit August 18-21

    • Students who have previously tested positive for COVID-19, or have a positive antibody test result, should send their results to depauwhealth@hendricks.org no later than August 6; please include your student ID number when sending this information. These students may not need to complete a return to campus pre-arrival or post-arrival test.

Thanks to those of you who attended the town halls. Links to each of the recorded forums are now available on our resources page.
