DePauw Volleyball Drops Opening Two Matches

St. Louis, Mo. - DePauw opened the 2012 season at the Washington University Labor Day Classic and dropped their first two matches.

The Tigers dropped a 3-1 decision to Dominican by a 3-1 score (22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-18) before losing to second-ranked Washington-St. Louis 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-12).

Against Dominican, Mary Kate Etling and Hannah Nelson each totaled 10 kills, while Faith Rolwes led with 33 assists. Tori Bowerman paced the Tigers with 28 digs with Lauren Falotico totaling 25. Etling also led DePauw with four blocks.

Etling, Nelson and Kelly Doyle each had six kills against Washington with Rolwes finishing with 27 assists. Keely McGrath led the way with three aces, while Falotico had 11 digs. Etling and Katie Petrivich finished with two blocks apiece.

DePauw wraps up play on Sunday with matches against Cornell (Iowa) and Eureka.
