Angie Torain '94 Appointed Associate AD at University of Notre Dame

Angie TorainAngelina (Andrews) Torain, a 1994 graduate of DePauw University, has been appointed associate athletics director at the University of Notre Dame. In her new role she will oversee human resources, legal and risk management.

"Torain was most recently deputy AD and senior women's administrator at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, where she started in September 2015," reports the Elkhart Truth. "Among many duties, she supervised the school's NCAA reclassification to Division I. A 1990 Elkhart Central graduate who won the Catherine Wolf Award, presented annually to the top senior female student-athlete in Elkhart Community Schools, Torain went on to graduate in 1994 with a degree in sociology from DePauw University, where she also competed in basketball and track. Torain graduated from Indiana University's Maurer School of Law in 1997."

She looks forward to "the opportunity to work at a university with such a rich history and tradition that I followed growing up 20 miles away as a kid.
