Taryn Owens '13 Joins Board of Decatur County United Fund

Taryn Owens, a 2013 graduate of DePauw University, has joined the board of directors of Indiana's Decatur County United Fund.

A native of Decatur County, Owens "appreciates the many opportunities she received growing up in Greensburg and is eager to give back," notes an article in the Greensburg Daily News. "A graduate of Depauw University with a degree in kinesiology and communication, Taryn has been helping individuals meet their personal health and wellness goals for six years as a coach and personal trainer at Anytime Fitness."

Joane Cunningham, executive director of the Decatur County United Fund, points to Owens' "wealth of knowledge and experience that will certainly be a tremendous asset to our board." She adds that Owens is "dedicated to helping individuals achieve their best life."

A kinesiology and communication major at DePauw, Owens was a member of the Tiger women's track and field team.

Now in it's sixty-second year, the Decatur County United Fund "provides funding for local programs that deliver basic needs such as food, shelter, a quality education, good health, and a stable income."
