Dan Hendricks '70 Named VP for Advancement at U of North Alabama

Daniel L. Hendricks, a 1970 graduate of DePauw University, has been appointed vice president for university advancement at the University of North Alabama. In the position, which he assumes October 15, Dr. Hendricks "will head a university division responsible for alumni relations, major gifts, annual and planned gifts, corporate and foundation relations, and communications and marketing," notes an announcement.

"Dr. Hendricks will bring to UNA an outstanding track record with university advancement programs," says President William G. Cale Jr. "His experience, polish and enthusiasm will serve this institution and this community very well."

Dan Hendricks has previously served as vice chancellor for advancement at Purdue University - Calumet and executive director of the Western Illinois University Foundation as well as the foundation's vice president for advancement and public services. He's also held VP posts at the Louisiana State University Foundation, was director and chief operations officer forLGL 5431 the Campaign for University of Kentucky, and was director of planned giving for Hanover College.

After graduating from DePauw, where he majored in English (literature), Hendricks earned master’s and doctorate degrees from Duke University. He also received a fellowship from the University of Geneva (Switzerland).
