Faculty to Discuss Terrorist Attacks Tonight

September 13, 2001, Greencastle, Ind. - Twelve DePauw University professors will gather tonight, September 13th, with students and community members to discuss the events of Tuesday. The forum will take place at 7 p.m. in the Union Building Ballroom.

Glen Kuecker, coordinator of DePauw's Conflict Studies Program and assistant professor of history, who is organizing the forum, says “we'll attempt to place the attacks into context, frame them and analyze them. Audience participation will be encouraged. Our hope is to come away from the event with better understanding and perhaps, new insights,”

Along with Professor Kuecker, the panel will be composed of faculty members Ricky Hill, Ann Jennings, Anas Malik, Tamara Beauboeuf, Barbara Steinson, Tom Hall, Lakshmi Fjord, Meryl Altman, Nafhat Nasr, Istvan Csicsery-Ronay, Jr. and Robert Calvert.

The event is free and open to the public.
