Both B-ball Teams Win Again; 20th Straight for Women

February 15, 2002, Greencastle, Ind. - The wins keep coming for DePauw University's basketball programs. Both Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference-leading teams were on the road in Terre Haute Thursday, where they continued their winning ways with victories over Rose-Hulman. The men improved to 20-3 on the season and 14-2 in the SCAC with a 65-57 victory. The win means DePauw's men have clinched at least a share of the SCAC title.

The women's team clinched the SCAC title outright by downing Rose-Hulman 65-53. It marks the Tigers' 20th straight victory and ups their season record to 21-2. They're undefeated in 16 conference games, and were the first team to earn a berth in the NCAA Division III tournament. Learn more about the women's game by clicking here.

Senior Lindsey Rush was also named WXIN/Fox 59's "College Athlete of the Week" in a story that aired on Indianapolis television at 10 p.m. last night. Both DePauw teams are off until next Friday, February 22, when they play at Centre, then wrap up their regular seasons the following evening at University of the South-Sewanee.
