April 1, 2002, Greencastle, Ind. - A high school student-athlete with his sights set on DePauw University is profiled in the Indianapolis Star. In the wake of the Indiana High School Athletic Association state basketball tournament, the Star'sMark Amborgi writes, "Speedway (High School)'s Mark Gonzales was named the Class 2A Arthur L. Trester Mental Attitude Award winner. Gonzales ranks third academically in his senior class of 92 students. 'My parents have always stressed to have a good attitude and being positive all the time,' said Gonzales, who had seven points, four assists and two blocked shots in the final. 'It's a neat thing to win. It's really an honor. My parents are real proud.'"
