Scott Koepke '71 Named COO of ASC Inc.

September 18, 2002, Greencastle, Ind. - Scott K. Koepke, a 1971 graduate of DePauw University, has been named chief operating officer of ASC Incorporated. Headquartered in Southgate, Michigan, ASC was the first company to introduce sunroofs to the North American automotive market. Today, it continues to build on its history of innovation in the automotive industry as a leading provider of vehicle design and concepts, engineering, production services, open-air systems, composite products, and vehicle accessories. In his new position, Koepke is responsible for the operations group as well as ASC's product groups including total vehicle integration, open-air systems, conversions, accessorization, and composites.

Scott Koepke joined ASC in 1999 as president of its composite systems business, a full service supplier of product design and engineering, materials and manufacturing alternatives and Class A quality paint and finishing options. Prior to joining ASC, the 53-year-old Koepke served more than 20 years at Owens Corning, where he managed worldwide operations as president of its engineered pipe systems division. He also held various marketing, product and manufacturing positions within its industrial and transportation business segments. He was manager of their new applications development group. His responsibilities spanned the globe, with assignments in the U.S., Europe and South America.
