Brad Hauter '87 Named Head Men's Soccer Coach at Rose-Hulman

December 13, 2002, Greencastle, Ind. - Brad Hauter, head women's soccer coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a 1987 graduate of DePauw University, has been named Rose-Hulman's head men's soccer coach. Hauter, who led the women's team to a 13-6 record in 2002, will now serve as head coach of both the men's and women's programs.

Hauter, who has a record of 21-16 in two years as women's soccer coach, has also served as the men's assistant at Rose-Hulman for the last two seasons. Previously, he was the head men's soccer coach at Saint Mary's University (Minnesota). He compiled the highest winning percentage in the 28-year history of the school's program with a record of 57-41-6 in six seasons. Prior to that, Hauter served as assistant soccer coach at Gustavus Adolphus, Judson and DePauw, where he played soccer as a student.

Brad Hauter is also the founder and director of "Off the Streets", a non-profit organization formed in Chicago to help the homeless. He authored a soccer coaching manual entitled The Invisible Game in 1994, and has directed camps at various levels for 10 years.
