DePauw Chamber Singers Perform Wednesday Night

October 6, 2003, Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw Chamber Singers, a twenty-two member vocal chamber choir conducted by Robert Gehrenbeck, will perform on Wednesday, October 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium of the Performing Arts Center. DePauw University School of Music faculty member and organist Carla Edwards will perform on the program as well. Works by Henry Purcell, Benjamin Britten, J.S. Bach and others will be showcased.

The centerpiece of the concert will be Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, for soloists, chorus and organ. The program will begin with three anthems by Britten's greatest English predecessor, Henry Purcell. Included among these, Purcell's Jubilate Deo in D features soloists, chorus, organ, and trumpets.
