Kinisha Nicole McKeel '03 Stars in Play at Indiana State Museum, Star Notes

November 12, 2003, Greencastle, Ind. - Kinisha Nicole McKeel, a 2003 graduate of DePauw University, portrays Mother Morphis a 100-year-old former slave in "The Hoosier Renaissance: The Age of the New Negro Movement," which is being presented at the Indiana State Museum's Legacy Theater. An article in the Indianapolis Star, which includes a photo of McKeel, notes that "McKeel, a graduate of DePauw University, is a professional model from Fort Wayne."

A short biography at the Indiana State Museum's Web site reads, "A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Nicole McKeel, gives a poignant performance as a former slave woman. McKeel has studied drama at the Lee Strassberg Film and Theatre Institute in New York and is a graduate of DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English composition."
