HS Tennis Standout Prepares for Tournament and DePauw, Newspaper Notes

May 7, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - Noblesville High School senior Erin Andrade, who is the #1 singles player for the school's tennis team, "has a 7-1 record heading into Saturday's Hoosier Crossroads Conference meet at Zionsville," writes Tom Hayes in today's Indianapolis Star. "She ranks in the top 10 percent of her graduating class and was honored earlier this week for her academic excellence at Noblesville. Next year, Andrade plans to begin studying biochemistry at DePauw University in Greencastle, where she also plans to play on the tennis team. Her long-range goals are to work in the medical research field."

Andrade will be a Rector Scholar at DePauw. Her coach, Chris Stewart, tells the newspaper, "Erin is a very smart player with a lot of goals."
