May 31, 2004

May 31, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - "With Claude Cymerman [professor of music at DePauw University] at the keyboard, Hu runs through a wide variety of items," notes a review in Taiwan's Tapei Times of Vienna Revisited, a new compact disc by violinist Hu Nai-Yuan. "Both musicians play with great panache," the newspaper opines, "making this an enjoyable album of popular, accessible and tuneful music."

Professor Cymerman is preparing for what promises to be a very busy summer. He has been invited to perform in July with flautist Andreas Blau, flute solo of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, at the Flaine International Music Academy in the French Alps. In August, the pianist will perform with violinist Guy Bronstein, concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, at the Entrecasteaux International Chamber Music Festival in France.

Cymerman has also been nominated for an award by the French Nationale des Académies des Sciences, Lettres et Arts. The award ceremony will take place in November. Read more about the professor by clicking here.
