Jennifer Michels '87 Teaching at New Jersey School, Newspaper Notes

September 1, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - Jennifer C. Michels, a 1987 graduate of DePauw University, has joined the teaching staff of Mountain Way School in Morris Plains, New Jersey. A story in the Morris News Bee notes, "Michels, Mountain Way School's new grade K-2 Spanish teacher and district-wide English as a second language (ESL) teacher, received her bachelor's degree in education with a minor in Spanish from DePauw University."

The text adds, "She earned her master's degree in education from Loyola University in Chicago and St. Peter's College in Jersey City. She holds teaching certificates for Elementary Education, Reading and Spanish." 

"We had a high-energy, creative and focused groups of new educators joining our existing highly professional staff," Kenneth Knops, superintendent of schools, tells the newspaper. "I am confident that each of these new staff members will prove to be assets to both the school and district. I look forward to their contributions."
