DePauw Prevails in Monon Bell Thriller, 16-10

November 12, 1983, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw sophomore Eric Rawe batted down a Wabash pass in the end zone as time expired to preserve a 16-10 win today at Blackstock Stadium.

The victory returns the Monon Bell to Greencastle after a year on the campus of Wabash College.  The all-time series is again tied at 41-41-8.

Tiger coach Nick Mourouzis, now 2-1 in Bell games, required stitches in his hand after cutting it while ringing the rivalry's prize.
