Franklin wins Small College Classic; DePauw finishes fifth

CLAYTON, Ind. - Franklin College shot a two-round 603 and won the DePauw Small College Classic by 10 strokes over Wooster. Indianapolis was third with a 615, while Anderson was fourth with a 631 and DePauw was fifth with a 634.
Wooster's Michael Tilden and Indianapolis' Chris Clemens each shot a 147, but Tilden was awarded medalist honors with a better back nine score today. Tilden shot a tournament-best 71 in the second round.
DePauw was paced by Jay Burkhardt who tied for 11th with a 154 followed by Sean Toddy in 18th with a 157. Jason Schwerdt tied for 25th with a 161 with Josh Abrams tying for 33rd at 162 and Jordan Voss tied for 44th with a 169.
DePauw golfers playing as individuals included Rob Harper (154), Tim Piatek (167), Chris Daly (171) and Neil Farren (174).
