Argetsinger earns SCAC Player of the Week honors

January 24, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw senior forward Amy Argetsinger has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week for her performance in wins over Rhodes and Hendrix. She shared the honor with Trinity's Amy Howe. This is Argetsinger's second such honor of this season and the third of her DePauw career.
Argetsinger averaged 19.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists to lead the 20th-ranked Tigers to a 78-55 win over Rhodes and a 72-50 victory over Hendrix. She scored 16 of her 21 points against Rhodes to lead the Tigers from a 31-31 halftime tie.
For the week, Argetsinger hit 13 of 21 field goals (61.9%) and 12 of 16 free throws (75.0%) and averaged 28.5 minutes per game.
For the season, Argetsinger is fifth in the league in scoring (15.1 ppg) and is third in the league in field goal percentage (54.2%) and seventh in free throw percentage (79.1%).
Argetsinger currently ranks third in school history with 1,297 career points and seventh with 550 rebounds and is the only player in DePauw history with at least 1,200 points and 500 rebounds. She holds the school records for free throws made (321) and attempted (412). Argetsinger ranks 11th all-time in SCAC scoring history and is just seven points from ninth place.
