Junior Awarded Indiana Broadcasters Association Scholarship

nicole pence award.jpgApril 29, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw University junior Nicole Renee Pence is the recipient of an Indiana Broadcasters Association Scholarship. The Indiana Broadcasters Foundation awards academic scholarships annually to deserving high school and college students pursuing an education in broadcasting. Pence, who is news director of student radio station WGRE, is one seven Indiana college students to receive the awards of $2,000 each.

Earlier this month, Nicole Pence traveled to Las Vegas to receive the Broadcast Education Association's Alexander Tanger Scholarship. Pence accepted the award, which carries with it a $5,000 award, at the BEA's 50th annual convention.  A communication major, Pence spent first semester off-campus interning at Fox News network in Washington, D.C.
