"DePauw University senior Jessica Beeson says she will be the director of the CRNC's outreach program and will assist with fundraising. She now serves as chair of the Indiana Federation of College Republicans."

Beeson tells the radio station that part of her job will be to ensure the Republican Party reaches out to the current generation of college students. So my job is to make sure that our party reaches out to this generation of Republicans, aimed at that demographic."

Beeson has interned with Karl Rove, the senior adviser to President Bush, and with the Heritage Foundation. Read more about her in this previous story.

The WFIU report also quotes Jon Coffin, a fellow DePauw senior and College Republican. He discusses how Beeson has worked on women's outreach in Indiana and says she will likely focus on the issue at the national level as well: Audio Link [Download Audio: "Jon Coffin on WFIU" - 201kb].

Jessica Beeson will serve as co-chair alongside Paul Gourley. Gourley and Beeson were elected over the weekend by college G.O.P. delegates from across the nation.
