Attorney Danica Mathes '98 Joins Lathrop & Gage

danica mathes 2005.jpgAugust 2, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Danica Rodemich Mathes, a 1998 graduate of DePauw University, has joined the St. Louis law firm of Lathrop & Gage L.C. Mathes was previously an entertainment and intellectual property attorney with Blumenfeld, Kaplan & Sandweiss, P.C., in St. Louis and is an adjunct professor of entertainment law at Washington University School of Law.

A story in the St. Louis Daily Record notes, "Mathes focuses her practice on entertainment and intellectual property law and has significant experience with media, advertising and marketing law. She represents and counsels clients in various genres of the arts, including music, film, radio, television, theater, visual arts, photography, literary publishers and authors, athletes and interactive media companies. She assists clients in the preparation, review and negotiation of contracts and licenses, protection of copyrights, trademarks, software and related rights, selection and formation of appropriate business entities, including disadvantaged- and women-owned business enterprises, and provides general business advice.

The newspaper also points out that Mathes "has been named an 'Up and Coming Lawyer' by Missouri Lawyers Weekly and was honored as one of '30 Under 30' by the St. Louis Business Journal. Mathes earned her undergraduate degree from DePauw University and her law degree from Washington University School of Law."
