Tigers drop first SCAC game at Rhodes

September 30, 2005, Memphis, Tenn. - The DePauw field hockey team dropped to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference following a 1-0, one overtime loss at Rhodes.

Hillary Mast's goal with 10:54 left in the first overtime on an assist from Elizabeth Erny gave the host Lynx all they would need.

Rhodes outshot DePauw 12-8 and held an 8-6 edge in penalty corners. Kaitlin Thomure recorded two saves for the Tigers, while Rhodes' Alice Cowley recorded the shutout with three saves.

DePauw travels to Sewanee for a Sunday SCAC contest.
