Thomas Schamel '93 Named VP at Educational Publishing Firm

October 10, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Thomas M. Schamel, a 1993 graduate of DePauw University, has been named vice president of marketing and business development for the newly-launched Carson-Dellosa School Division of Cookie Jar Education, Inc. The new unit develops and markets supplemental educational materials for kindergarten through eighth grade. Its focus is currently centered on products that enhance math and literacy instruction.

An announcement from the firm notes Schamel's appointment, adding that he "brings over twelve years of marketing, business development, product development, DePauw Logo White.jpgdirect sales and entrepreneurial experience to Carson-Dellosa’s emerging School Division. Thomas has a unique combination of knowledge that covers the commercial printing, publishing, education technology, graphic design and advertising industries. A former education retail dealer, marketing manager, consultant and creative director, Schamel most recently served as vice president for an education technology and multimedia production company. Thomas graduated as a history major from DePauw University."
