Tigers shut out Transylvania; improve to 9-5

October 23, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 9-5 on the season and won for the third straight time with a 3-0 victory over Transylvania. The Pioneers dropped to 5-12.

Emily Yates scored with 25:00 remaining in the first half before Allison Baccich made it 2-0 with just 17 seconds left in the half. Julie Brayton rounded out DePauw's scoring with 24:42 left in the game. Becca Gaines assisted on all three goals.

DePauw outshout Transylvania 20-1 and held an 8-3 advantage in corners. Kaitlin Thomure recorded one save in posting her sixth shutout of the season. Taylor McGinnis had 12 saves for the Pioneers.

The Tigers host Earlham on Tuesday, October 25, at 3:30 p.m.
