Tim Weaver '86 Inducted Into Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame

Tim Weaver.gifDecember 7, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Timothy A. Weaver, an attorney with Barnes & Thornburg in Elkhart, Indiana and 1986 graduate of DePauw University, has been inducted into the Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame. An article in the Wakarusa Tribune notes that after a stellar, three-sport career at North Wood High School, "Tim played football four years at DePauw University and was named team MVP in 1984 and 1986. He led the nation in punt returns in 1982 with a 17.7 average and was captain of the 1985 and 1986 teams."

The text continues, "He set 9 school records, including most passes received in a game, season and career; punt returns and punt return average for a game, season and career. After DePauw, Tim went on to law school and practiced law in New York City for several years." A history major at DePauw, Tim Weaver graduated magna cum laude. He was a two-time Academic All-America selection (1984 and '86). Weaver received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, cum laude.
