Senior Receives Ronald Reagan Future Leaders Scholarship

December 9, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw University senior David C. Bausman is the recipient of a $2,500 Ronald Reagan Future Leaders Scholarship from the the Phillips Foundation. Bausman's award is one of 88 merit-based scholarships provided to students from across America totaling $269,500 for academic year 2005-06. A political science major and history and communication minor, Bausman chairs DePauw's College Republicans and is active in JC and WGRE.

The Phillips Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1990 to advance Constitutional principles, a democratic society, and a vibrant free enterprise system. In addition to the Ronald Reagan Future Leaders Scholarship Program, the Foundation administers an annual journalism fellowship program which provides grants to working print journalists early in their careers.
