DePauw women ranked fifth in both national polls

DSC_1346.jpgJanuary 31, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw women's basketball team, winners of 18 straight games, is ranked fifth in both the Top 25 Poll and the USA Today/ESPN Division III Coaches' Poll. The Tigers picked up one first place vote in the coaches' poll.

DePauw improved to 9-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference last weekend and clinched a spot in the SCAC Tournament with an 87-61 win over Southwestern on Friday and a 60-57 victory over Trinity on Sunday. The Tigers have won 23 straight home SCAC games which eclipsed the previous conference record of 22 consecutive home wins set by Centre from 1991-95.
