High Tech Entrepreneur David Becker '75 to Address TechPoint Gathering

David Becker IIB.jpgFebruary 15, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - David Becker -- CEO of First Internet Bank, OneBridge, DyKnow and Inception and 1975 graduate of DePauw University -- "will discuss Internet marketing strategies that have worked for his companies" to the TechPoint Marketing Peer Group. The February 28 speech is noted in an item posted at dBusiness.com. It continues, "Becker plans to talk to about how he uses the Internet as a cost-effective way to increase awareness, create brand preference, generate credibility and drive leads for his companies -- from start up phase to maturity. He will discuss Internet marketing strategies such as Web site development and optimization; search engine marketing and advertising; online advertising; and e-mail marketing."

The text also points out, "Outside of his business activities, Mr. Becker is active in many volunteer organizations. He has served on advisory boards for The Robert C. McDermond Center for Management and Entrepreneurship and the IT Associates Program at DePauw University as well as Governor O'Bannon's High Tech Task Force for the State of Indiana. Mr. Becker was the first chairman and remains on the board of TechPoint, a change agent for Indiana's technology industry, and he sits on the board and the gift-granting committee of the TechPoint Foundation, a group established to bridge the digital divide in Indiana. Mr. Becker is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF), a public charity established to improve philanthropic services supporting the central Indiana region."
