November 13, 1999, Greencastle, Ind. - The seniors on DePauw University's football team finished their college gridiron careers unbeaten by arch rival Wabash College, as the Tigers captured their fourth consecutive Monon Bell victory at Blackstock Stadium this afternoon, 21-7. The win gives DePauw a 49-48-9 lead in the all-time series. The Tigers offense made plays when it mattered and the defense held Wabash to just 7 points, even though the Little Giants put up more than 500 offensive yards over the course of the afternoon.

DePauw freshman Dan Ryan, who battled his way into the end zone for the Tigers' first touchdown, summed up his first battle for the Bell this way: "It was unlike anything I've ever experienced in terms of intensity. When I caught that pass with that guy draped all over me, the adrenaline took over and I made it into the end zone. This whole game runs on adrenaline."Monon Bell Blackstock.jpg
