Fred C. "Bud" Tucker Jr. '40 Elected President of National Realtors Organization

Fred C Bud Tucker.jpgNovember 30, 1971, Greencastle, Ind. - Fred C. Tucker Jr., chief executive officer of the Indianapolis realty and development firm F.C. Tucker Co., is the new president of the National Association of Real Estate Boards. Tucker, a 1940 DePauw graduate and vice chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, was elected at the NAREB's 64th annual convention in Miami Beach, Florida.

"Bud" Tucker becomes the first Indiana resident elected to the presidency of the organization, which has a membership of nearly 500,000 realtors and sales associates. During the past year, Tucker has served NAREB as first vice president. He is part president of the Indianapolis Real Estate Board and the Indiana Real Estate Association, which both recognized him as "Realtor of the Year" in 1967.
