The Byrds Take DePauw Audience 'Eight Miles High'

byrds.gifMay 3, 1969, Greencastle, Ind. - The Byrds -- the rock ensemble responsible for hits such as Eight Miles High, Turn, Turn, Turn and Mr. Tambourine Man -- entertained an audience at DePauw University's Bowman Gymnasium tonight. The concert, which began at 8:15 p.m., climaxed Little 500 weekend on the DePauw campus.

The accompanying image shows the front page of the May 2 edition of The DePauw promoting the concert.

Tickets to see The Byrds were $8 per couple, and were also good for admission to the Little 500 dance the previous night, which featured Bob Taylor and the Originals.
