October 24 Indianapolis Appearance by Prof. Eugene Gloria Previewed in Star

eugene gloria.jpgOctober 12, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - "Born in Manila and raised in San Francisco, Eugene Gloria is the author of two books of poetry, Hoodlum Birds (Penguin, 2006) and Drivers at the Short-Time Motel (Penguin, 2000), which was selected for the 1999 National Poetry Series and the 2001 Asian American Literary Award," notes today's Indianapolis Star in a preview of Gloria's upcoming appearance at the University of Indianapolis. "Now a Greencastle resident and an associate professor of English at DePauw University, Gloria has received a Fulbright Research Grant, a grant from the San Francisco Art Commission, a Poetry Society of America award and a Pushcart Prize," adds the newspaper.

Professor Gloria will appear Tuesday, October 24 at 8 p.m. as a a guest of the U of I's Kellogg Writers Series. Access the item at the Star's Web site.
