DePauw loses at Rose-Hulman on late goal

October 16, 2006, Terre Haute, Ind. - Host Rose-Hulman scored with just 1:21 left and claimed a 2-1 victory over DePauw.

David McIlwaine's score at 88:39 with an assist from Phil Meyer and Matt Trowbridge broke a 1-1 tie and lifted the Engineers to an 11-3-1 record. DePauw dropped to 8-5.

Trowbridge gave Rose-Hulman a 1-0 lead at 56:09 with an assist from McIlwaine and Ray Throop before DePauw's Adam Davis evened the score on Scott Noel's assist at 58:37.

DePauw outshot Rose-Hulman 18-7 and held a 5-4 advantage in corners.

The Tigers return to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Friday when they travel to Southwestern.
