Shannon Greybar Milliken '01 Honored by Association of Fraternity Advisors

Shannon Greybar Milliken.jpgJanuary 3, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Shannon Greybar Milliken, program coordinator for fraternity & sorority life at Chicago's DePaul University and 2001 graduate of DePauw University, has received the Gayle Webb New Professional Award from the Association of Fraternity Advisors (AFA). The award honors an individual who has exhibited high professional standards and achievements in men's and women's fraternity advising during the first two years of professional level employment. Milliken is received the award recently at the AFA's annual meeting in New Orleans.

Milliken's nomination noted, "She has taken time to learn the culture of the university and found ways to make the fraternity and sorority community more in Library Snow December 2005.jpgline with who we are as an institution. This was not done by policy, but rather by thinking outside of traditional models and taking a risk to try new ways of structuring recruitment which resulted in doubling the size of the Panhellenic community" at DePaul.
