Fifth-ranked DePauw wins 11th straight

January 5, 2007, Sewanee, Tenn. - Fifth-ranked DePauw opened the second half with a 25-4 run on the way to an 82-51 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory at Sewanee.

DePauw improved to 12-1 overall with its 11th straight win and moved to 2-0 in SCAC play with its 18th straight regular season conference win. Sewanee dropped to 4-5 overall and 1-1 in the SCAC.

Host Sewanee scored the game's first five points, but DePauw scored the next 11 at the start of a 19-2 run that give them the lead for good. The Tigers led 41-28 at the break before scoring the first 11 points of the second half to extend the margin to 28.

Five Tigers scored in double figures led by Kalei Lowes, Gretchen Haehl and Meghan Warner with 12 each. Liz Bondi and Emily Marshall each added 10 in the win. Rachel Miller paced Sewanee with 14, while Steffi Renninger chipped in 11.

DePauw shot 55.7 percent from the floor for the game including 60.7 percent in the second half, while Sewanee shot just 27.3 percent including 25 percent in the second half. DePauw also held a 49-31 edge on the boards as Bondi grabbed nine. Dani Pettay paced Sewanee with eight. Cassie Pruzin led DePauw with six assists and Doughty added five.
