"The appointment of Wiley Pearson, a retired Marine lieutenant colonel who holds a degree in political science from DePauw University, was announced Wednesday." Pearson is a 1970 graduate of DePauw.

The article notes that prior to his service as director of the Ohio Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign, Pearson worked for the American Federation of Government Employees and served as aide to U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Maryland).ballot box.jpg

"He has the political and professional experience to help us deliver our message of change throughout the commonwealth," says Miller, who is currently Kentucky's state treasurer.
