DePauw picks up seventh straight win

January 26, 2007, Memphis, Tenn. - DePauw collected its seventh straight win after a 78-65 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory at Rhodes. The Tigers improved to 16-3 overall and 7-1 in the SCAC with the win, while the Lynx dropped to 7-10 overall and 2-6 in the SCAC.

Austin Brown paced the Tigers with 21, while Mike Moore added 18 and a game-high five assists. Tony James rounded out DePauw's double-digit scorers with 10.

Cory Smith paced the Lynx with 19 followed by Jared Hoskins with 17 and Dean Shroyer with 11.

The Tigers trailed briefly at the start of the contest, but took the lead for good with a 12-4 run on the way to a 39-24 halftime lead.

DePauw opened the second half with a 15-2 run to take their largest lead of the contest at 54-28 with 14:29 left. Rhodes used a 24-8 string of its own to close the margin to 10 but they'd get no closer.

The Tigers shot 45.2 percent for the game to Rhodes' 37.3 percent and DePauw knocked down 9-of-22 threes. Rhodes held a 40-39 edge on the boards.
