Tigers' eight-game win streak ends at Franklin

March 20, 2007, Franklin, Ind. - DePauw's eight-game win streak came to and end as the Tigers lost at Franklin by a 12-3 score. The Tigers dropped to 8-6, while the Grizzlies improved to 8-3.

Franklin got all they needed in the first as they plated six runs on six hits. DePauw added two in the third, but Franklin answered with two in the bottom of the inning. After the Tigers scored one in the fourth, the Grizzlies plated two each in the fourth and sixth.

The hosts pounded out 17 hits with David Federoff leading the way with three. Lance LaBonte, Joel Chrobak, Lance Noel, Adam Blackburn and Jason Bede each finished with two.

Jeremy Dickinson led the Tigers with three hits, while Matt Kleine added two.

Marcus Larson improved to 1-0 with the relief win, while Tim Baldwin dropped to 1-2 with the loss.

DePauw travels to Memphis where they open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday against Rhodes.
