Liz Bondi '07 Named Nation's Top Division III Female Athlete

bondi_liz.jpgJune 15, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - "After winning national championships in two sports, DePauw's Liz Bondi was named the nation's top female athlete in NCAA Division III," reports this morning's Indianapolis Star. "Bondi will be presented the Honda Sports Award at a ceremony on June 25 in New York, where the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year for all divisions will be announced."

Jeff Rabjohns writes, "Bondi won the national title in singles in this year's tennis tournament, finishing 124-10 in singles and 119-15 inbondi120206.jpgdoubles for her career. The senior from Park Ridge, Ill., was named Most Outstanding Player of the Div. III women's basketball tournament after leading the Tigers to the title. It was DePauw's first national title in a team sport."
