Jimmy Ibbotson '69 to Perform at 'American Renewable Energy Day'

August 5, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Jimmy Ibbotson, a former member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and 1969 graduate of DePauw University, will perform at the fourth annual American Renewable Energy Day in Aspen, Colorado, August 24-25. The event will also feature speeches by Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper.

"Ritter will deliver the keynote speech on 'Leading Our Renewable Energy Future' at 3 p.m. on Friday," reports the Aspen Times. "Hickenlooper will follow with a speech about 'greening' the 2008 Democratic Convention in Denver." Ibbotson's performance will take place on Saturday.
