Scott Roley.jpgOctober 23, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - "Scott Roley was confirmed by the Nashville Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America to fill the senior pastor position at Christ Community Church," begins an article in the Tennesseean. Rev. Roley, a member of DePauw University's Class of 1974, was formally installed as leader of the Franklin, Tenn., congregation October 14. "Roley was appointed as interim senior pastor of Christ Community in 2006. The congregation voted, in September, to call him to the position of senior pastor," reports the newspaper.

The text adds, "Roley has served the church for 18 years in various capacities, including his role as pastor for missional living. During his leadership, the missions ministry grew to include the oversight of foreign missions, supporting 18 world missionaries, home missions supporting 22 local agencies and Franklin Community Ministries, a local benevolence ministry to the underserved in the area."
