Tigers Ranked Eighth in Both National Polls

_DSC4037.jpgNovember 27, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Off to a 3-1 start, the DePauw women's basketball team is ranked eighth in the first regular season release of two national polls.

The Tigers  are eighth with 359 points in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll after opening the preseason in fifth. Mary Washington leads with 586 points and 14 first-place votes.

DePauw is also eighth in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll with 169 points. Howard Payne tops that poll with 227 points, while Calvin and Hope are tied for second.

The Tigers open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play this Saturday when they travel to Centre for a 1 p.m. game. LISTEN LIVE
