Seventh-Ranked Tigers Begin Defense of SCAC Title on Friday

_DSC2706.jpgFebruary 28, 2008, Conway, Ark. - The seventh-ranked and 22-3 Tigers go after their third straight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title and fourth in the six-year history of the SCAC Tournament when they begin tournament play on Friday. GAME NOTES

DePauw faces Southwestern University in tomorrow's first quarterfinal game with tipoff from St. Joseph's High School in Conway, Ark., set for 1 p.m. CST.

The Tigers earned the SCAC Eastern Division's top seed after finishing conference play with a perfect 14-0 record and on an 11-game win streak. Southwestern is the number-four seed in the Western Division after finishing 6-9 in conference play and 12-13 overall.

2008scacbblogo.jpgThe teams met on February 1 in Georgetown, Texas, with DePauw taking a 55-45 win. The winner advances to Saturday's 5 p.m. semifinal game against the winner of Friday's second quarterfinal game between Centre and Colorado College.
