The Tigers, ranked #6 in the nation, are now 27-3 on the season. They were led by Jenna Fernandez and Gretchen Haehl with 17 points each, while Cassie Pruzin (pictured) added 15.

DePauw goes on to play Amherst College in the "Sweet 16" round of the tourney. The game will be played Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The Tigers led by as many as 9 points in the first half, before yielding the lead to Washington for the first time just before the initial half ended. The Bears took a 33-32 advantage to the locker room, and the second half remained a see-saw battle, although DePauw regained the lead with 13:01 left in the game and never trailed again.

Tonight's contest, which was played at DePauw's Neal Fieldhouse, marked a rematch of last year's NCAA championship game in Springfield, Massachusetts, which DePauw won, 55-52.
