October 25, 1910

A freshman halfback on the Wabash football eleven, Wilson died Sunday morning from injuries he received in last weekend's game against St. Louis University. (at left: DePauw's football team)

Wilson received a concussion while making a flying tackle during the game, which the Little Giants won, 10-0.

"Deep gloom hangs over the entire school," notes a story in today's reach-vintage-football.jpgDePauw Daily on the Wabash tragedy. "The football team has disbanded for the year and all other branches of athletics are hanging in the balance."
