East College tall xz.jpgFebruary 1, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. — Two DePauw University administrators will be among the presenters at The College Board's Midwestern Regional Forum, which will be held in Chicago, February 22-24.  Madeleine Eagon, vice president for admission and financial aid, will co-lead "The College Board First-Timers' Session: Introducing The College Board."  Ken Owen, director of media relations, will discuss "Under the Media Microscope: When Things Go Wrong," in the closing plenary session.

The conference will take place at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel.

Madeleine Eagon came to DePauw in June 1996. She previously served as a consultant to The College Board (an organization she continues to serve as a board member), and spent 10 years as director of admission at Whitman College, a liberal arts college in Walla Walla, Washington. Prior to becoming director of admission, she served Whitman as assistant director of admission and then associate director of admission from 1978 to 1985.

Ken Owen, a 1982 graduate of DePauw and former member of the University's Alumni Board, spent nearly two decades as a television news anchor and reporter, including stints at WISH (CBS) and WRTV (ABC) in Indianapolis. He returned to his alma mater in January 2001 and serves as DePauw's chief external communicator. His duties include coordinating the annual telecast of the Monon Bell football game between DePauw and Wabash College and overseeing the Timothy and Sharon Ubben Lecture Series.
